vintage clothing is not only an obsession for many but also an eco-friendly way to shop and help cut down on sweatshops. vintage clothing means, pre-loved, it means that these clothes have had many lives, have been worn, loved and cared for by different owners. the thing that we love most about vintage clothing is not only the great timeless style but also the history behind the garment. your parents, grand parents or even your great grand parents may have worn these clothes, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't.

here at BLEUBIRD VINTAGE we comb through thousands of racks, far and near to search for the pieces that go into our shop. we take pride in finding quality garments that are in excellent condition. most vintage garments will show minor wear, some may show a lot of wear due to being decades old. we rarely sell damaged pieces but will note any unmendable flaws in the details section on our product pages. our garments are thoroughly inspected before ever leaving our racks and we do our very best to describe in detail the condition of our garments so our buyers know exactly what they are purchasing.

we do the best to determine the correct era of our vintage pieces, such as 60's mod or 70's disco, in the even that we sell a piece that is not vintage, we will note that clearly in the details section.

if a garment or accessory is marked "dead stock" that means that it is a true vintage piece that has never been worn and usually come directly from the original manufacture. they often come with their original tags, but may also show signs of wear due to their age.

vintage garments sometimes carry a faint odor due to age. we recommend washing or drycleaning your items before wearing them.
